This page explains how articles on U-Affiliate are researched, checked and updated, so you can judge how much weight to give what you read.
Where the information comes from
We rely on primary sources:
- The official program page or the program terms of service.
- Network listings, such as the program profile inside an affiliate network.
- Public documentation, help centers and pricing pages of the tools and software we cover.
Forum posts, social media comments and third-party summaries can point us to a topic, but we do not publish a figure based on them alone.
What we check
For each program we look at the same set of points, so reviews can be compared:
- Commission: the rate or flat amount, and whether it is one-time or recurring.
- Cookie duration: how long a referral is tracked.
- Payout: the minimum threshold, the schedule and the payment methods.
- Approval: who is accepted and how long review takes.
- Restrictions: banned traffic types, brand bidding rules and promotion limits.
- Support: how affiliates can reach the program team.
Dating and updates
Any rate, duration or fee in an article is written as of the month we checked it. Programs change their terms without notice, so treat our figures as a starting point and confirm them on the official page before you apply. When we learn a program has changed, we update the article and the date.
Corrections
If you find something wrong or out of date, send it through the contact page. We verify the claim against the official source and correct the article if it holds up.
Independence
Programs do not pay for placement in our reviews and do not see articles before publication. Rankings reflect our own assessment of the terms. If we ever accept a paid placement, it will carry a clear “Sponsored” label. Read how affiliate links are handled in the Affiliate Disclosure.
